Everyone in your organization can add their professional network to Consider, giving your team an advantage in identifying and hiring people connected to you and your colleagues.
Recruiters and hiring managers can easily see when someone on the team knows a candidate and use that connection to request a warm introduction.
Information about your connections is used only for hiring purposes and is restricted to your organization. Read below to learn who can see it and how you can remove it.
Your professional network can help your company identify candidates who already know someone on the team.
When a recruiter or hiring manager reviews a candidate, Consider can show that the person is connected to you or another colleague. That gives the hiring team an opportunity to ask for context or request a warm introduction instead of reaching out cold.
When you sign up for your Consider account, you are given the option to install the Consider Chrome Extension.
The extension can help you add profiles from LinkedIn to your company’s Talent Pool. It can also upload your professional connections and keep them in sync so recruiters and hiring managers can identify connections while reviewing candidates.
Installing the extension is optional, and you can remove it at any time.
Only a limited amount of information about each connection is available to Consider and made available within your company’s workspace:
Importantly, Consider does not have access to or store your LinkedIn messages, posts, activity, or information about the LinkedIn pages you visit.
Chrome may show a permission stating that the extension can read and change site data.
Consider uses that permission to read connection information from LinkedIn so your professional network can be synced.
The extension does not:
Your connection information is available only within your company’s workspace and is shown in a limited way.
When a recruiter or hiring manager views a candidate, they may see that the candidate is connected to you.
Your connections are not shared with other companies, with the organization operating your job board, or with the people in your network.
A colleague may ask you for an introduction to someone you know or ask whether they can mention your name when contacting that person.
Consider does not contact people in your network on your behalf without your permission.
You can also recommend people from your own network for roles at your company.
You can stop syncing your professional network at any time by removing the Consider Chrome Extension.
Removing the extension stops future syncing but does not delete connection information already stored in Consider.
To delete your account and network connection data, contact support@consider.com. After the request is confirmed, the account and associated network connection data are deleted within two business days.
